News of Kiri and Rico in 2007
Last year I let you, in form of a diary, in the experiences with Kiri and Rico participate. This year I cannot continue any more so extensively. First I would not like to become dull and repeat already the reported. Secondly a longer hospital stay approaches with me personally where I in addition in the position is not to be dealt with the web page.
Even more I am worried, get over like Kiri, Rico and Alf the time. However, with my very helpful neighborhood, we will also bridge this time. Anyway I will report furthermore about all interesting what happens with Kiri and Rico.
1st January: Yesterday I have got to know from an eyewitness what has happened 2 weeks ago with Kiri. During the day where Rico came only home he has observed how Kiri came according to loud over the street away to his garden flown and landed in a fir. Immediately behind her there came a big grab bird (with approx. 1 metre of span) flown, landed likewise on the fir and flew away with Kiri in the catches.
How she has succeeded in escaping from the catches of the grab bird, secret will remain certainly for good Kiris, but it is nicely to be known that she knows how to defend herself and can defend herself against an overpowering bird.
In the meantime, Kiri is healthy again and high-spirited and the urge again outdoors becomes to fly daily more intensely.
7th January: Today with mixed feelings I leave Kiri and Rico again out. They have properly begged, in the meantime and because the weather was fairly reasonable, I simply had to give after. The free flight is simply a steady component in our respect and without him if were not Kiri and Rico what they are.
After 5 hours Kiri came near the window flown and has itself again with knock reported back. Rico was still in some distance in a tree and made known his return loudly.
Anyway I was made easier when both were again in the house. For the next days they will remain because of the bad weather forecast first of all again inside.
24th January: Yesterday and Today we have used the nice weather and have been at-5 to 0 degrees (5 and 3 hours) outdoors. There we have also done immediately par admissions.
9th February: Kiri and Rico were almost everyday again in the free flight. Yesterday snow had liked in the morning and they have flown in the nice winter scenery. I wanted to take up this on video, but they were away so fast that I had only tone on it. In the evening had thawed most from the snow, unfortunately, again away. When I have done admissions with her return, a dream crows about us came suddenly away flown and both have flown away frightened.
Although it was still light a brief hour, they have not come back any more. Overnight light snowfall was about 0 degrees. Today then they have come in the late morning home. The 1-st video is from the takeoff last night and 2. of her return this morning.
22nd February: Because this year in the Berlin space the winter seems to fall out, Kiri and Rico could start almost daily her excursions. Their homecoming they always hesitated up to the end hereaus and came back only immediately before the burglary of the darkness. However, yesterday and The day before yesterday kammen them already at the midday home. Why so early and in spite of sunshine, I cannot explain myself.
I have used the situation(position), in any case to take up(accept) again a video. Indeed, it has the appearance, as if Kiri agreed with it not completely.
10th March: Kiri and Rico were on the move almost every day and have used the time up to the end. Before they come in, they fly away always again and turn par rounds. It is thus as if they wanted to let off steam again, before they start the night's rest. Thereby it becomes difficult still admissions to do.
13th March: Today they came a little earlier and my nice neighbour this could take up.
But without one more round turn, it simply does not go.
16th March:When my neighbour has taken up a dream of several Hundred Staaren on video, suddenly arrived Kiri and Rico and turned her round.
29th March: Yesterday there was in the evening once again big excitement. When I waited for the fact that Two come home, Rico came flying along again only. He came down to me also immediately, however, flew again on a tree in the direction of village and has shouted as if I should come behind and then flew on. I immediately had the usual fears what could be everything passed.
When it already started to be getting dark, Rico came back again only and I brought him in the house. There already rang the phone and a women's voice unknown to me said to me: " Nevertheless, you are with the parrots. With us in the chimney is stuck, but there we get. "
On the way to the car a friend on the bicycle came to give me likewise answer. There come we could open after him of a big flap itself between chimney and chimney Kiri considered see. Then over my hand she also came immediately out climbed. There you can fancy, how big my joy was that everything came over again at a happy end.
Indeed, she has flown away on the way to the car again and because it was already too dark, she has not found the way home any more. But then this also made no difference to me, because I knew now that it goes well to her. This is the chimney in which the bad luck has happened.
Now is also clear to me, why she has not found out. If she has climbed, otherwise, in the chimneys, it has found the way back about the light opening. By the cover on the chimney she has lost in the darkness the orientation and has stuck helplessly.
Today I am as soon as it became brightly gone out and has waited in vain for the unlucky person. Because Rico with me only did not want to have breakfast because to him extremely probably the experience from Yesterday on the stomach was hit, I leave him out and then within one minute appeared Kiri. Then there we have had breakfast too third outdoors.
After they have still flown half an hour around, came back them and Kiri wanted in the house. Rico is followed her from solidarity and I am happy again and contented.
