News of Kiri and Rico in 2007

1st April: The excitement takes no end. I got barleys again a phone call from from our village and to me was informed that Kiri and Rico are founded a tree cave in the high street. I am immediately with the camera arms there driven and has done admissions.

How I will handle with the new situation, I do not know yet. Not to let them any more out, would not be certainly the easiest, but certainly the best variation. The hole in the tree is also to be closed a possibility, but what can happen in search of a better place, the incident has pointed in the chimney.

Because they do not court till present yet and Yesterday they have come and Today home, I have to decide some time.

5th April: Because some difficulties have while downloading the videos, I have still done par snapshots. They come during the last days regularly and already in the afternoon home.

10th April: Kiri and Rico stay predominantly with her cave and still come back well home. Indeed, unity not always seems to exist.

18th April: Actually, I wanted to look this morning only with the both in her tree cave, however, Kiri immediately came to me down flown and absolutely wanted to remain with me. Rico came down from the cave also to me and there I wanted to take them in the car with home because it was rather windy and fresh.

Because Rico had got never voluntarily with into the car, he has flown while getting into the next tree and has watched how Kiri with me has left. I have turned with Kiri in the car a round and have gone back to him. By the alighting he came immediately again down to us, but with wanted to get he not at all.

After I had taken care nearly 1 hour in vain and did Kiri no institutions to separate itself from myself, then I have gone with her only home. Then she has come with to the house and I have gone with her over and over again out to see whether comes to Rico.

Then only after more than 4 hours has taken pity on Kiri and has flown again to Rico. Then in the evening they have come again together home.

Here still par snapshots from the last week.

27th April: For one week Kiri and Rico have not freely flown any more. A farmer from the village has them with the " love do " observed and I had to prevent that they start to hatch outdoors. They have already got used to the fact that they must remain in the house and now show also again interest in the nesting box in the flat.

Now, unfortunately, I must announce departure for possibly one month.

During this time my neighbour looks himself around my animals. As soon as I am again back, I report again what my darlings have done in the interim.

6th June: During my absence my neighbour has looked very affectionately after my animals. Kiri and Rico have developed fast trust to him and he has had increasingly joy in them.

Yesterday I could give I them after weeks 6 1/2 again free flight and they have flown away quite fast. At the midday I have gone to company of a neighbour in the village and we could already observe from some distance how they have flown in a fir and had with a crow a violent discussion. Then the crow has surrendered after one minute and has flown away. In the evening they have come again well home, as if it was quite normal.

22nd June: Kiri and Rico have been on the move every day and have well also got over a violent thunderstorm. A neighbour has done par admissions of them, but, unfortunately, these are to him not successfully the both sometimes with fly from the nest of the storks (which is completely in our nearness) to film.
