News of Kiri and Rico in 2007

4th July: Kiri and Rico are everyday again (up to one day where strong storm had freely flown). To me has struck that they come back this year on average one hour rather than last year home.

11th July: Yesterday I had already been glad about the fact that they had come back already at 19 o'clock, however, then they have played 2 1/2 hours with me theatre, until they have come in.

With precise looking of the video, has struck me how fast Rico reacts to Kiris takeoff, although he does not look in her direction. There I have taken up sometimes the single phases of the takeoff in pictures.

22nd July:                                                                                                                                         

since the evening hours 16th July, there are of Rico no more signs of life.

In the evening on the 16th July Kiri came back only home. Unfortunately, all investigations, during the next days, were fruitless. About the risk that is connected with the free flight I was always aware, but I regret it, also in my grief over him not to have come this risk.

Now, unfortunately, Rico has only become 17 years old, but I am persuaded firmly of the fact that the last years 3 1/4 best were in his whole life.

Here another 2 videos which a neighbour has taken up on the 14th July. At the end of the 2-nd video there comes Rico on my hand climbed.

2nd August: All efforts to find out something else about Rico, unfortunately, were without result. Kiri feels very lonesome and searches a stronger connection to me again. Yesterday in the evening she is when I with Alf walk was, in the morning in addition come and Today she has immediately come to the walk with. Besides, she flies of tree to tree and comes occasionally on my head flown.

Recently she lets herself fondle by me also again her brains and requests me even there to. Today she already came at 15 o'clock home and has stayed up to the evening always in my nearness. There my neighbour has immediately done par pictures of us.

Another neighbour has still made available to me video recordings on which still Rico with is on it. I have two ready and the others come during the next days.

4th August: At this night I would have myself to ear-cowardly are able to. Because I could not sleep, I have sat down near the computer and in low volume have worked on the remaining videos. Nevertheless, Kiri has on the video this shout from Rico heard and has flown off immediately, has looked for him and has shouted after him. I have needed an hour 1/2 to calm them again.

I will try anyway to find a new partner as fast as possible, for them.

13th August: Up to now it was not important to me whether Kiri were the female and Rico the little man. They were a happy couple and this been enough for me. In search of a new partner, nevertheless, I wanted to be sure and sent in a feather to the DNA test. Nevertheless, to my big surprise turned out that Kiri is a little man. Yes wander is just human.

Thanks to the friendly support by Mrs. Ohnhäuser, from the parrots - partner mediation beauty's field, we have decided on the Venezuelaamazonen lady Coco. Coco is 17 years old and has a very sad past. It was held 16 years in a small cage and is thereby physical and emotionally in a deplorable state. She is very shy and can fly only badly. We have decided to give her one chance to develop themselves, finally, under worth living conditions and affectionate care.

Unfortunately, is not Kiri of our opinion and ignores Coco and them is still too shy to search connection with him. Certainly still the grief over Rico, besides, a determined role plays with Kiri. I hope that they get used with the time each other. Anyway it will become a very protracted process.

Unfortunately, I could take a photo only of Coco only because I leave Kiri already out.

6th September: The adaptation of Coco is very difficult and progress is hardly to be registered. In the interim I was 5 days in the hospital. During this time Kiri had to stay at home again, but there it also came to no approach between Kiri and Coco. Kiri ignores Coco completely and she shows careful interest, however, is present very timidly.

Since the 2nd September Kiri has quirk her autumn again and does not come by the night home. 3 days she could not be seen with me and I had to search them in the village. Today she has gone past at least for visit and there I have taken up sometimes again something on video. She finds to eat enough, is to be seen on the video in the elderberry. I hope them soon becomes reasonable, and comes again regularly overnight home.

23rd September: Finally, Kiri has come in 19. times again overnight home, however, the next day she could not be seen the whole day again. With Coco no progress was to be registered and I have resolved to search another partner for Kiri without separating from Coco. In spite of her shyness I have closed them in the heart and so easily I do not surrender.

Once again Mrs. Ohnhäuser of the parrots - mediation was helpfully and has to me, beside a new cage, still lord (an approx. 20-year-old parrot man after the death of his partner had become isolated and was delivered to her) given.

I had luck and Kiri came in the evening again home. However, unfortunately, Kiri showed no interest in the newcomer again. Coco became cheerful visibly and flew last night with lord some rounds. However, today in the morning to my big surprise has suddenly burst with all three of the knots. Well, they themselves see.
